Surrender and An Open Heart<\/h1>\n

Interpersonal Hypnotherapy literally has the ability to take us to undreamed of heights when it comes to personal growth and success.  We can go way beyond our limiting programming and the confines of our low self-esteem, false beliefs, and negative emotions.  However, are we truly willing to surrender and let go into all of the greatness that life has as potential for us?  Are we willing to open our hearts to learn to be truly free and to release the old to make way for the new?<\/p>\n

Why must I surrender if I want to be free?<\/h2>\n

So many people spend their lives controlling themselves, their emotions and others.  We are so afraid, that we believe that by getting the external world (which includes others) to be the way we want it to be, that we will be happy.  The problem is that life seldom ever matches what we truly want, and if it does then we are happy, and if it does not then we get upset.  Surrendering simply means that we learn to allow what is to be what is.<\/p>\n

We look at what is without resistance, and we act and think in harmony with the truth.  The mind tends to overgeneralize, deny and delete its experiences so that we see the world that we want to, yet our inner mental maps seldom match reality.  Surrendering to what is becomes a first step to truly becoming free.<\/p>\n

Why must I keep my heart open?<\/h2>\n

Life causes us to have emotions.  Things happen and we feel certain ways about it.  However, many people suppress their emotions and shield themselves from their feelings.  A closed heart is not free.  A closed heart cannot fully laugh and cannot fully love.  Hypnotherapy often asks us to go inside, feel how we feel, and open to it so that we can transform it.<\/p>\n

By learning to let go, to open up, and to surrender to whatever is happening inside of us, we make space for our deep inner mind to resolve its own issues, and we find that what used to bother us before is simply not an issue anymore.  An open heart allows us to truly grow and to truly shine.<\/p>\n
