What is your highest intention? This is a question that we as hypnotherapists might ask our clients when we are working to get to the root of what it is that they truly want. When the question is asked over and over again we come to find that all people want peace, joy, bliss, love and a feeling of oneness. We can therefore ask, \u201cWhat is the purpose of hypnotherapy and what is this process that can lead others to true peace?\u201d<\/p>\n
In hypnosis, hypnotherapy and hypnotherapy certification there are many techniques that lead our clients, our students, and ourselves to this state of peace. However, before any technique is used it is important to establish this highest intention. This can happen during the hypnotherapy intake or even in the middle of a session when the client is in the altered state. We can simply ask directly, \u201cWhat is your highest intention? What do you want most?\u201d If the answer is a word that is not based upon an unconditional inner state of well-being, then we keep asking until the person admits that all they want is peace.<\/p>\n
At the Institute of Interpersonal Hypnotherapy, we are dedicated to offering training in hypnosis for people to become a hypnotherapist by ensuring that this highest intention is infused within the entire curriculum of the training itself. Therefore, whether the client or the student of hypnosis realizes it or not, he or she is gently being led to be at peace regardless of why they came in or what technique is being used.

\nThe purpose of hypnotherapy is clearly to help a client to reach his or her stated goals and its process can be as varied as the people who practice it. There is great comfort in knowing that this profession allows us to be ourselves and to help others to be themselves more fully and completely. The more at peace we are the more we can help others to be at peace. The more we hold this highest intention ourselves, then the more we are able to be that which we wish to teach.<\/p>\n
